About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review cases concerning medication effectiveness, safety, cost, and treatment options
- Review scientific research and assign letter grades for medication effectiveness
- Supplement effectiveness reviews with cost information
- Provide evidence-based medication guidance to help people choose treatment options
- Review available cases on a flexible, self-directed schedule
- Return an Ask a Pharmacist response within 24 hours
- Complete cases for a flat rate per case
- Speak with a doctor or patient by phone when requested
- Receive alerts when cases are available for review
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in a clinical acute care/hospital setting or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Pharmacy license
- Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice
- Current pharmacist license in good standing with no prior license revocation
- Must be licensed in Utah
- Must be licensed in Arizona according to the location introduction
- Successful completion of a pharmacy residency or advanced degree in a health-related field preferred
- Pass a background check
- Professional malpractice insurance and proof of insurance
- Sign the Pharmacist Independent Contractor Master Agreement (ICMA) and privacy agreement (Business Associate Agreement)
- Work from home within Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, or Arizona
- Wired internet connection that is not satellite or cellular, with minimum upload speed of 5Mb and download speed of 10Mb
- Personal mobile device for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Must meet drug- and tobacco-free workplace requirements
