About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review cases concerning medication effectiveness, safety, cost, and treatment options
- Review scientific research and assign letter grades for medication effectiveness
- Supplement medication guidance with cost information
- Help people find the best treatment option for their lifestyle
- Review available cases on a flexible, self-directed schedule
- Return an Ask a Pharmacist response within 24 hours
- Communicate by phone with a doctor or patient when requested
- Complete cases as an independent contractor
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a clinical acute care/hospital setting or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Pharmacy license
- Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice
- Current pharmacist license in good standing, with no prior license revocation
- Must be licensed in Utah
- Successful completion of a pharmacy residency or advanced degree in a health-related field preferred
- Pass a background check
- Professional malpractice insurance and proof of insurance
- Sign the Pharmacist Independent Contractor Master Agreement (ICMA) and privacy agreement (Business Associate Agreement)
- Wired internet connection that is not satellite or cellular, with minimum upload speed of 5Mb and minimum download speed of 10Mb
- Access to a personal mobile device for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
