About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute and implement strategic plans and vision for Operations Technical Services
  • Lead Operations division data and reporting initiatives
  • Oversee development of reports, dashboards, extracts, data marts, small applications, and testing processes
  • Manage business/data analysts and programmer analysts delivering operational solutions and business intelligence
  • Handle performance reviews, employee development, hiring, coaching, retention, and accountability for direct reports
  • Provide strategic leadership and communication to teams across multiple locations
  • Plan and implement technical services strategy by assembling teams, assigning responsibilities, identifying resources, and providing guidance
  • Partner with Operations stakeholders to identify information needs and automate ad-hoc data analysis
  • Develop reporting and data solutions compliant with privacy regulations and policies
  • Oversee data architecture, transformation, stewardship, end-user self-service, and data controls for feeds and ETL processes
  • Collaborate across departments, Operations BI teams, vendors, and support relationships to resolve issues
  • Develop solution roadmaps for access to reporting, BI, and data discovery tools
  • Stay current with medical management programs, cost containment strategies, medical technology, and market conditions
  • Deliver requirement analysis, system design, data models, program development, testing, and documentation
  • Supervise 4–6 FTEs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of related professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience
  • Equivalent combination of appropriate education and experience accepted
  • Ability to develop and lead teams, including hiring, goal setting, coaching, and development
  • Resource and project management experience, including budgeting, strategic planning, success measures, and deliverables
  • Domain expertise in health insurance operations, including Customer Service, Claims, Membership, and/or Provider Operations
  • Understanding of data use in business processes and data security, privacy, and quality requirements
  • Knowledge of health plan operations, health plan data sources and structures, and cost containment strategies
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and methodologies
  • Ability to define and document business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Ability to develop solutions for conflicting Business Intelligence needs
  • Experience establishing deliverables for large-scale, complex projects
  • Ability to motivate teams and work with internal and external customers
  • Experience with AI tools and technologies highly desired
  • Background check required
  • Wired internet connection required for work-from-home options, with minimum 5Mb upload and 10Mb download speeds
  • Personal mobile device required for Multi-Factor Authentication
