About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the day-to-day execution of electrical and mechanical maintenance activities
  • Support equipment reliability and minimize downtime across the distillery
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of frontline maintenance professionals
  • Coordinate planned, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities
  • Drive preventive maintenance compliance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Food Safety standards
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to recurring issues
  • Partner with operations and technical teams to improve efficiency and performance
  • Contribute to the commissioning and ongoing maintenance of new equipment, including recent site investments
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Technical qualification in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Maintenance, Production, or Plant Engineering environments
  • Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge
  • Experience leading teams and working in operational manufacturing settings
  • Knowledge of preventative and corrective maintenance practices
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety, HACCP, ISO, and Food Safety requirements
  • Experience using maintenance and business systems such as CMMS and SAP
  • Strong communication, planning, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities
  • Valid Food Handler's Permit, or willingness to obtain one as part of onboarding if selected
  • Experience in Food & Beverage, Distillery, Brewery, or similar manufacturing operations is nice to have
  • Kaizen training or continuous improvement knowledge is nice to have
  • Experience with Megamation CMMS is nice to have
  • CAD exposure is nice to have
  • Project Management training or certification is nice to have
