About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, maintain, and manage systems, software tools, applications, and interfaces between internal and external systems
Integrate systems using internal and third-party APIs
Monitor, analyze, design, and develop modifications to existing systems to improve performance and functionality
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, primarily development and testing, and assist with requirements gathering and solution design
Provide communication and support to internal customers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and incorporate feedback into designs
Perform rotational on-call duties supporting 24/7 retail operations and system monitoring
Work occasional evening and weekend shifts for critical support, project deadlines, system support, or deployment
Travel occasionally, less than 5%

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5-10 years of software development experience
Exceptionally strong backend development experience
Strong skills in system programming and data structures
Programming experience with one or more of: .NET Core, C#, JAVA, JavaScript, PHP
Extensive experience interacting with and building robust web APIs (REST/SOAP)
Strong relational database skills using SQL Server and Oracle
Experience with source-control integration using GIT
Experience with Visual Studio IDE, NestJS, Symfony, ReactJS, or Angular
Development experience using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, written, electronic, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work on multiple projects with competing and shifting priorities
Flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend work as needed
Required participation in on-call and system monitoring
Occasional travel (less than 5%)
Experience with Confluence and Jira is strongly preferred
Experience with containers, Docker, Docker files, Kubernetes administration, Jenkins, CI/CD, and automated testing is preferred or a plus
