Senior Technical Solutions Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct technical due diligence on inverter, EMS, MVT, and related power-system products
- Develop and maintain internal tools for system sizing, product design, project development, product validation, and solution optimization
- Collaborate with R&D and technical teams on design development, interface definition, validation testing, and platform roadmap alignment
- Evaluate technical specifications, drawings, certifications, test reports, performance claims, and integration requirements for externally sourced products
- Support Independent Engineer reviews and customer-led technical due diligence
- Monitor and interpret product standards, grid codes, electrical requirements, and communication protocols
- Define and review electrical interfaces between inverters, battery systems, MVT, MV switchgear, protection equipment, auxiliary systems, EMS, and grid connections
- Coordinate cross-functional communication to introduce new products to engineering, project execution, and applications teams
- Maintain traceability of vendor/product documentation, internal evaluations, and platform status
- Coordinate supplier and product workstreams, documenting technical dependencies, responsibilities, deliverables, and unresolved items
- Participate in integration testing across inverter skids, battery enclosures, BMS, EMS, MVT, auxiliary systems, and associated electrical equipment
- Lead internal discussions to troubleshoot control strategies and support platform optimization
- Provide technical input for project-specific requirements, custom feature requests, and client-specific configurations
- Develop internal documentation, reference templates, and knowledge-sharing tools
- Collaborate with global R&D and applications engineering teams on feature roadmaps and deployment readiness
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power systems, controls engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, R&D, or project commissioning within power electronics, energy storage, microgrids, power generation, or related industries
- Direct experience in inverter product development, control systems, or energy storage project commissioning is strongly preferred
- Strong general electrical-system knowledge, including power systems, power electronics, inverters, plant-level controls, transformers, medium-voltage equipment, protection, and system integration
- Experience with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and microgrid applications, including electrical architecture, equipment interfaces, controls, and system integration
- Experience with medium-voltage transformers and associated MV equipment, including equipment ratings, selection, sizing, protection, electrical interfaces, and system integration
- Knowledge of gas turbine systems, including technical evaluation, equipment selection and sizing, operating characteristics, performance assessment, and integration within microgrid or power-system applications, is preferred
- Familiarity with key standards and certifications, including applicable UL, IEEE, IEC, medium-voltage equipment, and grid-interconnection requirements
- Experience collaborating with international partners, particularly engineering or manufacturing teams across global time zones
- Demonstrated ability to lead or contribute to the development of internal engineering tools, system models, or automation processes
- Strong technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with a hands-on approach to product validation and integration
- Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus but not required
