About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop strategic recommendations on the evolution of the channel offering in Africa
- Analyze the current offering to identify opportunities to add or remove linear channels
- Conduct sociodemographic analyses in the African countries where the Group operates
- Monitor channel performance, particularly viewership and engagement
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to adjust offerings in line with subscriber expectations
- Coordinate with CANAL+ subsidiaries in Africa to identify their local needs and priorities
- Research and develop synergies with the Group’s African partners, particularly MultiChoice
- Prepare for and support negotiations with channel publishers
- Collaborate with the Legal department on distribution agreements
- Create, monitor, and update documentation relating to channel distribution
- Design and distribute internal communications materials
- Contribute to the creation and development of thematic channels and/or programs aimed at African audiences
- Support project management activities, including kick-offs, project committees, meeting minutes, stakeholder coordination, and progress-tracking materials
Requirements
What you’ll need- Passion for television and the challenges of the pay-TV industry
- Interest in Africa and its audiovisual landscape
- Interest in negotiation, strategy, data, and emerging media trends
- Interest in the legal field
- Curiosity, strong interpersonal skills, team spirit, and the ability to take initiative
- Strong analytical and summarization skills
- Ability to make recommendations and drive proposals forward
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
