About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee and assist in developing and implementing global publicity strategies and campaigns across the film slate
  • Manage publicity for the French slate, STUDIOCANAL CLASSICS catalogue slate, and international and local STUDIOCANAL productions
  • Contribute film publicity expertise to STUDIOCANAL ON STAGE projects such as Paddington the Musical
  • Share responsibility for annual international film festival strategy and execution, including on-site activity and reporting
  • Contribute to awards strategy across the slate
  • Manage global junkets, festival premieres and touring
  • Create, maintain and reconcile publicity budgets and present costs for approval
  • Navigate challenging press enquiries, territory issues and filmmaker issues
  • Manage multiple projects from development through release campaigns and announcement strategy
  • Draft announcements, talking points and campaign updates; review production notes and related materials
  • Co-lead meetings with territory publicity leads across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Benelux and Poland
  • Coordinate with third-party distributors, filmmakers, producers, festival teams and internal stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain global campaign timelines reflecting market needs
  • Attend production publicity engagements and be present on set
  • Develop and coordinate press releases, production notes, stills, clips, featurettes and digital campaign ideas
  • Obtain filmmaker approval for publicity materials before worldwide and contractual delivery
  • Select, brief and manage PR agencies supporting global activity
  • Support international catalogue departments and local catalogue teams with announcements, anniversary activity, festivals, talent liaison and deliverable materials
  • Attend publicity and international department meetings and annual territory seminars

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years’ international film publicity experience
  • Available for travel, evening and weekend working as required
  • Ability to drive and execute the global film publicity strategy
  • Exceptional written and communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and manage multiple projects with an organized, methodical and collaborative approach
  • Established relationships with trade media and a wide variety of reporters
  • Festival experience extending to strategy and execution
  • Budgetary planning, creation and reporting
  • A passion for film
