About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a portfolio of companies, representing approximately 60% of the activity, in compliance with procedures, deadlines, and quality objectives
  • Work with several French and international companies in a Shared Services Center environment
  • Ensure the accuracy of bank accounting transactions and compliance with deadlines
  • Provide operational support to other portfolios as needed, based on priorities or absences
  • Participate in accounting close activities
  • Serve as the primary contact for teams regarding routine operational questions
  • Support employees in resolving technical issues
  • Act as the Key User for business tools and contribute to their development
  • Provide methodological support for processes and tools
  • Promote the harmonization of practices and share best practices
  • Identify difficulties, propose solutions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes
  • Draft, update, and distribute procedures and operating instructions
  • Introduce new employees to the environment, arrange their access, and train them
  • Lead short training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops
  • Monitor employees’ skills development and identify support needs
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and identify operational risks
  • Participate in the preparation of internal and external controls and audits
  • Prepare information requested by statutory auditors and respond to auditors’ queries
  • Contribute to the implementation of audit recommendations
  • Inform the Department Manager of difficulties, delays, and malfunctions
  • Contribute to activity prioritization and information sharing
  • Support employees without direct managerial responsibility
  • Contribute to the operational performance of the Shared Services Center

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Professional proficiency in English, particularly for communication with foreign subsidiaries and international stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of bank accounting
  • Proficiency in bank reconciliations and banking transactions
  • Experience working in a multi-company environment
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems and accounting management tools
  • Strong command of Excel and office productivity tools
  • Knowledge of internal control principles and requirements
  • Experience preparing for or supporting statutory audits or internal control reviews
  • Ability to formalize procedures and operating instructions
  • Higher education in accounting, business administration, or finance (two to four years of post-secondary education)
  • Significant experience in bank accounting, ideally gained in a Shared Services Center
  • Experience in a multi-company environment
  • Experience working with international entities is an advantage
  • Experience in a coordination or subject-matter expert role is preferred
