About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical support to the Missile Defense Agency on MDA Technical, Engineering, Advisory and Management Support
Maintain awareness of Missile Defense System performance assessments at the full system level and among contributing weapon systems
Update records on present or future capability gaps driving future development efforts
Contribute to architecture planning, requirements definition, and enterprise-level development activities supporting strategic and regional architectures
Develop analysis scripts using MATLAB and/or Python to build capabilities within the Benchmark M&S environment for trade study analyses
Conduct MDA Benchmark tool runs to perform predictive analysis of future missile defense architecture laydowns against theoretical or conceptual future threat environments
Support the MDA Chief Architect’s office and the team developing and employing the Benchmark performance modeling tool

Requirements

What you’ll need

This position is open only to US Citizens
7+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project or industry equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field such as engineering, physics, or math
Excellent oral and written communication skills and critical thinking abilities
Ability to work independently and within teams to solve complex problems
Possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret clearance
Experience producing analysis tools using Matlab and/or Python or a similar scripting language (preferred)
Familiarity with one or more elements of the Missile Defense System (preferred)
