About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and evolve the technical architecture of applications
- Contribute to technology decisions and define development standards
- Ensure the consistency and maintainability of developed solutions
- Identify technical risks and propose appropriate solutions
- Actively contribute to the development of critical or complex features
- Develop solutions that provide meaningful metrics and indicators
- Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Promote best practices, including clean code, design patterns, automated testing, and documentation
- Ensure application performance, security, and scalability
- Participate in the analysis and resolution of technical incidents
- Organize knowledge sharing within the team
- Foster a culture of collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Project Managers to define technical solutions
- Estimate effort and contribute to development planning
- Identify dependencies and anticipate technical challenges
- Monitor the technical progress of projects and raise alerts regarding risks
- Ensure quality and compliance with technical commitments
- Establish best practices for CI/CD pipelines and environments
- Promote the automation of build, testing, and deployment processes
- Ensure the application of application security best practices
- Improve application observability, monitoring, and resilience
- Keep up to date with software development and ERP technologies
- Recommend improvements or enhancements to CRM and ERP platforms
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation
- Produce reports on the status of systems and networks, incidents, and corrective actions
- Report directly to the Information Systems Department or to a person designated by Capago Group management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Position based in Algiers, Algeria
- At least 6 years of experience in software development or a similar role
- Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer systems, or an equivalent field
- Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written
- Excellent command of at least one modern programming language, such as PHP, Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go
- Proven experience implementing CI/CD tools and practices
- Proficiency with AI tools applied to software development
- Strong experience designing and developing complex applications
- Good knowledge of API, microservices, and/or distributed architectures
- Proficiency with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Good knowledge of Git and collaborative development practices
- Strong knowledge of cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Good understanding of application security, performance, and scalability principles
- Proficiency in automated testing and software quality practices
- Leadership and people-management skills
- Ability to collaborate with technical teams, Product Managers, Product Owners, and business teams
- Ability to identify technical risks, anticipate challenges, and propose appropriate solutions
- Ability to estimate effort, plan development work, and ensure commitments are met
