About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the go-to legal partner across the company
- Work with leadership, commercial teams, and operations to support growth across multiple European markets
- Draft and negotiate energy trading, customer, supplier, data, SaaS, and platform contracts
- Manage contract risks, including liability structures, indemnities, force majeure, and settlement terms
- Provide legal guidance during deal structuring and negotiations
- Translate legal constraints into workable commercial solutions
- Ensure contracts comply with energy market rules such as REMIT, market regulations, and regional grid codes
- Maintain contract templates and standard terms
- Improve contract lifecycle processes and internal playbooks
- Handle contract interpretation issues, claims, and potential disputes
- Advise Business Development, Finance, Product, and People teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master of Laws (LL.M.) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)
- Experience working in a law firm or in-house role in a fast-growth technology company and/or international energy company
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to balance legal protection with commercial pragmatism
- Interest in energy market structures and trading models, technology, or regulated industries
- Autonomy and ownership in high-value or complex deals
- Stakeholder influence with traders, executives, and external counterparties
- Risk awareness without blocking business operations
- Ability to provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to non-legal stakeholders
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Fluency in English
- Experience in energy law, electricity markets, fintech, SaaS, or deep tech is a strong plus, but not required
