About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and develop enterprise integrations using Azure Integration Services and Java Spring Boot.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Develop and configure APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).
  • Implement synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns based on solution requirements.
  • Develop messaging and event-driven integrations using Azure Service Bus, queues, topics, subscriptions, and related Azure services.
  • Implement integrations between enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, databases, external partners, and Microsoft Azure services.
  • Implement message transformation, validation, routing, and orchestration, along with exception handling and retry mechanisms.
  • Develop reusable integration components and services aligned with enterprise integration standards.
  • Implement API authentication and authorization using Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, JWT, Managed Identities, and related security mechanisms.
  • Secure application credentials, secrets, certificates, and connection information using Azure Key Vault.
  • Implement logging, monitoring, distributed tracing, correlation IDs, and operational telemetry for integration services.
  • Develop unit tests, automated API tests, and integration tests.
  • Work closely with the Integration Lead, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Data Architects, and external vendors.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Advanced/fluent English – mandatory
  • More than 8 years of experience in software development and enterprise integration.
  • Strong hands-on development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • Strong experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure API Management (APIM).
  • Experience with Azure Service Bus, including queues, topics, subscriptions, and message processing.
  • Strong understanding of synchronous, asynchronous, messaging, and event-driven integration patterns.
  • Experience with JSON, REST, HTTP/HTTPS, OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API security.
  • Experience implementing exception handling, retry mechanisms, dead-letter processing, logging, and monitoring.
  • Experience with additional Azure Integration Services, such as Logic Apps, Event Grid, Event Hubs, and Azure Functions.
  • Experience integrating SaaS and enterprise platforms, including CRM, billing, payments, pricing, forecasting, and data platforms.
  • Experience with Azure Key Vault, Managed Identities, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
  • Experience with Oracle and SQL databases, as well as database integrations.
  • Experience in the Energy & Utilities or Retail Energy sectors.
  • Knowledge of customer information, billing, pricing, forecasting, payments, and energy market systems.
