About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, and Agile teams to validate Guidewire solutions
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test data for Guidewire PolicyCenter, JDP, and integrations
- Validate functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end business processes across Guidewire applications
- Identify, document, retest, and track defects through resolution
- Review user stories and acceptance criteria for testability and quality coverage
- Participate in sprint testing and support release validation efforts
- Perform API and interface testing using approved testing tools
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to review defects and validate fixes
- Support environment validation, test data preparation, and deployment verification activities
- Contribute to team quality improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing
- Deliver sprint commitments within an Agile environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 3 years of QA experience in Agile software delivery environments
- Experience testing Guidewire applications, preferably PolicyCenter
- Knowledge of Property and Casualty or Business Insurance processes
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools
- Experience with API testing and integration validation
- Broad knowledge of insurance concepts, terminology, products, and business processes across relevant business areas
- Strong verbal, written, and listening skills, with the ability to adapt technical messages for business and technical audiences
- Excellent collaboration and team-building skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across teams
- Strong ownership and accountability for individual and team deliverables
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Ability to collaborate effectively across agile teams
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, or related field preferred
- Guidewire certification or testing certification preferred
- Participation in PI Planning, Sprint Planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, system demos, retrospectives, and Inspect and Adapt activities
- Commitment to Sprint goals, continuous testing, and continuous delivery practices
