About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze system and business requirements for testability
- Identify complex errors in standard application testing
- Develop, document, execute, and maintain test cases and test data
- Report test-plan execution status through defect logs and tracking systems
- Define comprehensive test plans and apply Risk Based Testing techniques
- Analyze test results and assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Use data creation, batch processing, and test automation tools
- Write test cases describing business behavior to facilitate automation
- Mentor junior team members in test planning and execution
- Contribute to overall test strategy and resolve environmental issues
- Support application development, implementation, and user training activities
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Retrospectives, Inspect & Adapt, and System Demos
- Demonstrate working code to Product and Business Owners and support Product Owner execution
- Participate in continuous exploration, integration, and deployment for the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps
- Conduct research, design, prototyping, and exploration activities
- Participate in and conduct Agile Dev Team Member Community of Practice sessions
- Manage communications and action items resulting from Community of Practice sessions
- Perform other functions as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced SQL query writing and database validation
- Advanced experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Intermediate ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Intermediate team-oriented and collaborative approach
- Intermediate API testing using Postman, SOAP UI, or similar tools (4–6 years)
- Intermediate strong defect triage and root cause analysis skills (4–6 years)
- Intermediate experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes (4–6 years)
- ISTQB certification is a plus (4–6 years)
- Intermediate basic understanding of automation frameworks (Selenium, Java, TestNG, or similar) (4–6 years)
- Intermediate experience with test management tools such as Rally and JIRA (4–6 years)
