About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution engineers, architects, and Agile teams to deliver Guidewire configuration and integration solutions
- Serve as a subject-matter resource for the Guidewire platform
- Code instructions for computer programs, objects, and components across multiple applications
- Configure packaged software to deliver required system functionality
- Provide advanced technical expertise in solution implementation and application functionality
- Review and validate team members' technical implementations
- Develop and maintain performant, reusable, maintainable application components
- Analyze existing automated and manual processes and implement system enhancements
- Research, develop, and implement automation techniques
- Document and implement application changes following installation standards, coding conventions, and enterprise guidelines
- Analyze and support requirements related to security, backup, recovery, restart, controls, and data integrity
- Analyze and document data modeling and data conversion requirements
- Perform quality checks on code, configuration, components, and documentation
- Deliver production-ready working code incrementally each sprint
- Configure and enhance PolicyCenter product models, rules, workflows, Jutro UI components, and Gosu extensions
- Implement and support PolicyCenter integrations using APIs, messaging, events, and batch processes
- Perform impact analysis across configurations, integrations, data models, and business processes
- Conduct peer code reviews and support automated testing and validation
- Support unit, integration, and regression testing
- Support CI/CD and DevOps pipelines, automated builds and deployments, environment troubleshooting, and release support
- Troubleshoot complex PolicyCenter and integration issues across development, test, and production environments
- Perform root cause analysis and drive issue resolution
- Mentor and support junior developers
- Participate in Agile and SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, Sprint Planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, system demos, and retrospectives
- Deliver committed sprint and PI objectives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 10 years of experience required in solution engineering, software development, or related
- Minimum hands-on experience for 7 years in Guidewire products such as PolicyCenter with Advanced Product Designer
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Jutro Framework (Producer Engage or JDP)
- Hands-on experience implementing a new PolicyCenter in SaaS model or migrating an on-premises/self-managed Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation to SaaS model
- Experience designing and developing page configuration files, business rules, data models, and Gunits
- Hands-on experience integrating Guidewire PolicyCenter with external custom portals
- Experience with Guidewire's Cloud Data Access platform
- Experience with Gosu, REST services, message queues, and batch processes
- Experience on Jutro Digital Platform is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of diverse and emerging technologies and new architectural concepts and principles
- Strong P&C domain knowledge and experience implementing various integration and digital technology solutions in multiple environments
- Experience with Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams preferred
- PolicyCenter Professional certification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to implement proof of concepts independently
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentorship, and direction to technical teams
- Strong technical aptitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- In-depth knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns
- Strong proficiency in one or more phases of the software development lifecycle

- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
