About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build, configure, and deploy Gemini-powered AI agents based on approved business and technical designs
- Configure agent instructions, behaviors, prompts, grounding strategies, tools, and guardrails
- Implement agent workflows supporting conversational, operational, and business processes
- Optimize agent performance, quality, and user experience
- Design, test, and refine prompts
- Implement grounding mechanisms and configure AI safety controls
- Support evaluation and tuning of AI solutions
- Develop integrations between AI agents and enterprise systems, applications, and data sources
- Build and maintain APIs and supporting services
- Connect AI solutions to workflows, business processes, and external platforms
- Implement sprint stories and technical requirements using Agile practices
- Develop unit tests, integration tests, and validation procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve defects across development and production environments
- Support release deployment, testing, and production stabilization
- Apply secure software engineering practices
- Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, and operational procedures
- Document integrations, workflows, APIs, troubleshooting processes, and deployment activities
- Support knowledge transfer and operational readiness
- Participate in sprint reviews, demonstrations, testing cycles, and post-release support
- Collaborate with AI Architects, Product Owners, Engineers, and Business Stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure AI-powered solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience developing or configuring AI Agents, virtual assistants, or conversational applications
- Knowledge of prompt engineering and LLM-based application development
- Experience configuring agent instructions, prompts, grounding, tools, guardrails, and workflows
- Experience developing APIs and system integrations
- Strong programming skills in one or more of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java
- Experience working with REST APIs and service integrations
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
- Experience writing unit and integration tests
- Experience integrating enterprise applications and business systems
- Understanding of AI governance, security, and responsible AI practices
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native development practices
- Knowledge of conversational design and user experience principles
- Exposure to Agentic AI and workflow orchestration frameworks
- Preferred: Experience with Google Gemini, Vertex AI, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Agent Builder technologies
- Preferred: Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, embeddings, and knowledge grounding
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
