About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Guide and lead teams of Development Specialists through the full development life cycle
Act as a full-stack subject matter expert specializing in microservices/API, front-end technologies, and cloud-based applications
Provide technical expertise and develop end-to-end solutions
Partner with global engineering subject matter experts to align technical implementation
Remediate application defects and implement preventive measures to minimize service outages and disruptions
Drive automation adoption toward DevSecOps implementation
Work closely with business and IT teams on projects and support items
Coordinate among business, IT, and regional delivery teams
Maintain end-to-end accountability for deliveries and identify appropriate technology solutions for customer needs
Ensure service resilience, sustainability, and recovery time objectives
Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Engineering Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need

Over 5 years' experience on financial/banking system service
At least 10 years working in Micro-Services/API development and web-based applications at subject matter expert level
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Hands-on full-stack experience in RESTful API Java development
Experience with HTML, ReactJS/AngularJS, SpringBoot, AWS, Kong Gateway, Docker, MongoDB, and pipelines
Exposure to monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Prometheus or similar
Experience with fault tolerance tools such as Hystrix
Familiarity with security application design, development and integration, including HTTPS, certificate pinning, encryption/decryption, and data protection
Good command of overall application design
Related certification such as TOGAF is preferable
Outstanding troubleshooting skills under pressure and demanding situations
Willingness to work with colleagues from different cultures across the globe
