About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, solution engineers, and Agile teams to validate Guidewire solutions supporting Business Insurance transformation initiatives
  • Create, maintain, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test data for Guidewire solutions and integrations
  • Validate functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end business processes across Guidewire applications
  • Identify, document, retest, and track defects through resolution
  • Review user stories and acceptance criteria for testability and quality coverage
  • Participate in sprint testing and support release validation
  • Create test automation scripts using Playwright and maintain regression suites
  • Perform API and interface testing using approved testing tools
  • Troubleshoot issues and validate fixes with cross-functional teams
  • Lead or participate in environment validation, test data preparation, and deployment verification
  • Produce QA reports, test-event status updates, test evidence, and quality metrics
  • Execute testing events, analyze defect trends, contribute to root cause analysis, and report status
  • Provide testing guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentoring to junior team members
  • Support continuous testing, continuous delivery, and team quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 8 years of QA experience in Agile software delivery environments
  • Minimum 3 years of Guidewire testing experience, mainly Guidewire PolicyCenter
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (Rally)
  • Experience with test automation tools (Playwright)
  • Experience with API testing and integrations validation
  • Experience leading testing efforts across large transformation initiatives
  • Strong understanding of Business Insurance products, workflows, underwriting, policy administration, and integrations
  • Experience with automation frameworks, API testing, and CI/CD practices
  • Experience coordinating UAT, internal and external teams on integrations and end-to-end testing, and release testing activities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
  • Broad knowledge of insurance concepts, terminology, products, policy admin system and business processes
  • Strong verbal, written, and listening skills, with the ability to adapt technical messages for business and technical audiences
  • Excellent collaboration and team-building skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across teams
  • Strong ownership and accountability for individual and team deliverables
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Participation in PI Planning, Sprint Planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, system demos, retrospectives, and Inspect and Adapt activities
  • Ability to proactively identify dependencies, communicate risks, blockers, and testing status
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Guidewire testing certification required
