About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and enhance railway dispatch and control system applications
  • Build scalable backend services using Java, Advanced JEE, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices
  • Develop responsive web applications using Angular
  • Design and implement cloud-native applications leveraging Kubernetes and containerized architectures
  • Develop and support event-driven solutions using Kafka
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to deliver reliable railway operations solutions
  • Participate in application architecture, design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions
  • Support CI/CD implementation, deployment automation, and DevOps best practices
  • Ensure application reliability, performance, scalability, and operational readiness
  • Troubleshoot production issues and support system enhancements
  • Contribute to test automation and quality engineering initiatives
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, and delivery activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Full Stack Development, or Enterprise Application Development
  • Mandatory experience in Railway Dispatch Control systems and railway operations environments
  • Strong expertise in Java, Advanced JEE, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices Architecture
  • Hands-on experience developing web applications using Angular
  • Strong experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native application development
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of AWS and cloud platform services
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, and OpenTelemetry
  • Experience supporting production environments and high-availability enterprise applications
  • Exposure to test automation frameworks and quality engineering practices
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and stakeholders
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
