About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure backend services and microservices using Python
Architect and implement high-performance RESTful APIs and GraphQL schemas
Integrate external third-party services and downstream systems using JSON-based payloads
Model, optimize, and manage NoSQL databases, primarily MongoDB, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MSSQL
Develop, deploy, and debug applications in Linux/Unix environments
Drive clean architecture, comprehensive unit and integration testing, and code reviews across Git-based workflows
Collaborate with product managers, QA, and DevOps engineers in an Agile/Scrum framework
Lead architecture, design, implementation, deployment, and observability of backend systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

8–12 years of professional software engineering experience primarily using Python
Deep practical experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask
Expertise in designing, securing, and documenting RESTful APIs
Experience implementing and consuming GraphQL APIs
Advanced proficiency in complex JSON parsing, data serialization, and API integrations
Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB, including aggregation framework, indexing, and schema design
Working knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
Experience with ORM/ODM libraries such as SQLAlchemy, MongoEngine, and Beanie
Ability to operate, script, and troubleshoot in Linux environments
Advanced proficiency with Git workflows, including branching strategies, pull request reviews, and conflict resolution
