About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Meet technology entrepreneurs and recruit them into CF’s All Access Fund
Participate in startup community events and programs as a speaker
Use Twitter, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms to discover startups and connect with founders
Develop relationships with CEOs, Angel Investors, and Venture Capitalists and connect them with relevant startups
Read local startup news and engage on social media
Use Capital Factory’s AI tools to manage deal flow, publish deal memos, and perform at a high level
Sponsor 25+ St. Petersburg startups accepted into Capital Factory’s All Access Fund each year
Convince startups to join Capital Factory based on community benefits, not only funding
Build visibility through weekly speaking engagements and relevant community events
Facilitate introductions for founders, mentors, and investors
Fill office-hours slots
Track leads accurately and promptly in the CRM

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least two years experience as a founder, employee, or investor at a tech startup
Expertise in an area of technology which is changing the world
Experience building a community, product, team, program, startup, or initiative
Passion for emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum, energy, agtech, advanced manufacturing, and robotics
Commitment to embracing AI tools
Outgoing and able to talk to just about anyone
Strong documentation skills, including lists and spreadsheets
Problem-solving and systems-building ability
Organized and able to plan ahead while adapting to last-minute changes
Availability for evening events and weekends when needed
Reliable laptop computer and smartphone
Plan to stay in St. Petersburg for at least three years
Reliable transportation
Quiet remote workspace with fast internet
Security awareness, including passcodes and password manager use
Efficient use of Google productivity tools: Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides
Availability during SXSW, DREAMCON, and Austin Tech Week
Respond to critical communications within hours and no more than 24 hours
