About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the architecture connecting pharmacy software with conveyors, PLCs, vision systems, divertors, and label printers
  • Architect IoT and distributed systems for pharmacy automation
  • Design and support connected-device platforms, including device identity, provisioning, twins/shadow state, fleet management, telemetry, and OTA updates
  • Design reliable messaging and guaranteed-delivery systems using gRPC and MQTT
  • Implement reliability patterns including idempotency, deduplication, transactional outbox, retries, dead-letter queues, partitioning, ordering, and reconciliation
  • Architect and operate multi-tenant SaaS platforms using containers, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and observability tooling
  • Apply security controls for connected devices and distributed systems
  • Report to the Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture
  • Travel 50%

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required
  • Master's degree is a plus
  • 12+ years software engineering experience
