About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
  • Prepare, present, and update client financial plans
  • Lead client review meetings
  • Communicate CAPTRUST’s investment philosophy
  • Handle intermediate to advanced client service tasks
  • Research and resolve client financial issues
  • Provide excellent customer service and answer questions
  • Gather additional AUM from existing clients
  • Obtain referrals from the existing client base
  • Maintain an up-to-date calendar of appointments, tasks, and internal meetings
  • Stay current on events, markets, and the economy
  • Develop COI relationships with other professionals
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Establish, maintain, and update files, databases, records, and other documents
  • Operate standard office equipment and required software applications
  • Attend assigned client functions, including events after office hours

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of applicable industry experience
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation
  • Strong proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office products
  • Four-year college degree in business, preferably with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting
  • Ability to review, research, interpret, and discuss investment, financial, macroeconomic, and security-specific data
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate information to a financially sophisticated audience
  • Prioritization and multitasking skills
  • Ability to manage many time-sensitive tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to delegate tasks and projects and follow up appropriately
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Commitment to service and continuous improvement
  • Ability to build successful, collaborative, and trusting relationships
  • Ability to create accurate, concise, respectful, and easy-to-understand verbal and written communications conveying complex information
