About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Translate company objectives, customer evidence, and market signals into a clear marketing direction with explicit priorities and non-priorities
- Design, own, and improve the marketing operating model, including planning rhythm, priority set, portfolio view, and decision-to-action mechanisms
- Develop the strategic case for marketing technology, measurement, and workflow investments, including consolidation or retirement decisions
- Provide focused strategic support to the VP Marketing
- Convert customer evidence, commercial results, competitive moves, and market shifts into clear choices
- Build an operating model that makes strategic choices stick
- Collaborate with the Marketing Leadership Team and counterparts in Product, Sales, Partnerships, Training, Finance, and Data
- Travel occasionally to the London, New York, and Athens hubs and key industry events
- Establish a planning cycle that operates independently of the VP
- Rationalize the marketing technology stack and reduce operating friction
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6–8 years of experience
- Track record in strategy, marketing operations, chief-of-staff, or a comparable role at a scaling software business
- Ability to author a strategy paper and redesign a planning cadence
- Ability to identify and articulate strategic trade-offs
- Judgment regarding AI, automation, and lightweight tooling
- Fluency across customer, commercial, and competitive evidence
- Knowledge of professional creative software, prosumer SaaS, or a comparable enthusiast/professional market
