About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the overall HR strategy and day-to-day HR operations across the company
- Manage and supervise the HR and recruitment team
- Build, implement, and continuously improve HR processes, policies, procedures, and internal standards
- Manage international recruitment across Europe, Latin America, the United States, and other markets
- Develop sourcing and recruitment strategies for remote and international candidates
- Maintain complete and accurate HR profiles, contracts, documentation, job descriptions, compensation information, and employment records
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, probation, performance reviews, promotions, compensation changes, leave, disciplinary procedures, and offboarding
- Develop and maintain onboarding and training programs
- Implement and supervise performance management systems, KPIs, employee evaluations, and development plans
- Work with department managers on hiring needs, performance issues, organizational challenges, and development opportunities
- Develop organizational structures, job descriptions, responsibilities, reporting lines, and career paths
- Create and implement HR policies covering remote work, leave, working hours, performance, confidentiality, discipline, and internal communications
- Ensure HR documentation and compliance across different jurisdictions
- Coordinate employment contracts, contractor agreements, NDAs, non-compete/non-solicitation agreements, and other HR documentation with legal and management teams
- Manage compensation benchmarking, salary reviews, bonuses, incentives, and employee benefits
- Monitor engagement, retention, productivity, and team effectiveness
- Identify underperformance, organizational risks, and HR issues and propose corrective actions
- Maintain HR reporting and provide management with reports on recruitment, headcount, turnover, performance, compensation, and key HR metrics
- Select, implement, and manage HR technology including ATS, HRIS, performance management, training, and employee documentation platforms
- Build a strong, professional, accountable, and performance-oriented company culture
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years of professional HR experience, including experience in a senior HR leadership, HR Manager, Head of HR, or HR Director role
- Proven experience managing remote and international teams
- Strong experience hiring employees and contractors internationally, particularly in Europe, Latin America, and/or the United States
- Strong knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, HR policies, and employee development
- Experience managing an HR and/or recruitment team
- Demonstrated ability to build HR processes and systems from the ground up
- Experience working with international employment structures, independent contractors, and remote employees
- Strong organizational and project-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate HR documentation
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to hold employees and managers accountable
- Data-driven approach to HR management and decision-making
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and operate effectively in a fast-moving international environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professional judgment
- Fluent English is mandatory, both written and spoken
- Spanish will be considered a strong advantage
- Experience in international companies operating across several jurisdictions is advantageous
- Experience in fast-growing companies or organizations undergoing rapid expansion is advantageous
- Experience in remote-first or distributed organizations is advantageous
- Experience in sales-driven organizations is advantageous
- Experience recruiting sales, operations, finance, customer service, logistics, IT, and management positions is advantageous
- Experience with HR platforms such as Workable or similar ATS/HRIS systems is advantageous
- Experience building KPI-based performance management and employee evaluation systems is advantageous
- Experience managing both employees and independent contractors across different countries is advantageous
