About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical repair and service work in the field or at the hub for GE PET/CT systems
  • Ensure equipment in trailers does not interfere with safe operation of trucks and trailers on roadways
  • Lead or assist with installation and servicing of medical imaging equipment
  • Provide assistance, training, and guidance to Service Engineers, Technicians, and Apprentices
  • Repair, replace, or install parts and devices
  • Complete mobile unit load inspections for road safety, including PET/CT and UPS security, electrical systems, fire hazards, and safe operation
  • Complete weekly or periodic mobile unit safety checklists and identify abnormalities
  • Troubleshoot and perform field repairs
  • Provide phone support to customers and CII clinical staff regarding technical issues
  • Prepare and perform preventive maintenance according to specifications and documentation
  • Complete required paperwork and service reports within 48 hours
  • Prepare equipment for customer installation, including staging and functionality testing of PET/CT, PET, CT, elution, computing, dose calibration, monitoring, ECG, and image-transfer systems
  • Test parts at hub locations
  • Lead installations and deinstalls as required
  • Support service technicians and apprentices with troubleshooting, training, field repairs, and preventive maintenance
  • Locate spare parts and support inventory acquisition
  • Attend or conduct training for existing or new equipment service
  • Inspect and report irregularities, cleanliness, and defects of company assets at mobile and fixed sites
  • Maintain tools and calibration requirements
  • Adhere to safety procedures
  • Work at hubs, mobile units, and provider sites in varying environmental conditions
  • Travel extensively nationwide, including overnight stays and travel on short notice

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • An Associate’s degree in electronics or equivalent work experience
  • Two (2) or more years of experience as a Service Engineer with an established service organization or OEM servicing GE 690 and/or GE 710 PET/CT systems, or completed CII training
  • Basic computer skills
  • MS Suite
  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Ability to travel US wide
  • Ability to read operating manuals and instructions
  • Ability to communicate fluently both verbally and in writing
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion
  • Knowledge of electronic safety and procedures, low to high voltage
  • Electronics/Mechanical background
  • Advanced Knowledge of PET/CT and or PET
  • Self-driven, motivation to succeed
  • Ability to learn company policies and adhere to them in the performance of all assigned duties and communicate any compliance deviations to management in a timely manner
  • Extensive nationwide travel, including overnight stays and travel on a moment’s notice if needed
  • Ability to perform physical activities including talking, hearing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and fingering
  • Ability to perform medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly
  • Required close visual acuity and ability to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment
