About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware and software within the company's manufacturing plant
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks for performance and security
- Document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- Collaborate with IT team members to implement and maintain IT policies and procedures
- Provide status and completion updates to managers and users
- Support employees via phone, email, chat, ticketing system, in-person, and remotely
- Assist with software implementation, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and licensing
- Maintain computers, laptops, phones, printers, conference rooms, servers, and network devices
- Create and support user accounts and group memberships in Active Directory
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot ethernet and fiber optic cables
- Evaluate, prioritize, resolve, and escalate problems and requests
- Track hardware and component inventory and distribution records
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work on projects and perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's Degree in IT technical field
- Prior work experience with computers, Microsoft applications, networks
- Experience with MS 365, SharePoint, and other MS applications
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, including antivirus, back-up, and data recovery solutions
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of computer and network hardware, including switches and routers
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Adaptability to stay current with evolving technologies
- Ability to safely operate scissor lifts to run network lines and mount equipment
