About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support 2–3 attorneys on trust administration and estate settlement from the start of each matter through final distribution
- Prepare trust administration notices and correspondence to trustees and beneficiaries
- Inventory and value assets with financial institutions, appraisers, and CPAs
- Handle asset transfers, retitling, and distributions
- Prepare trust accountings
- Draft Heggstad, spousal property, and other petitions for attorney review
- Meet a billable expectation of 1,500 hours
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of Trust Administration paralegal experience
- Working knowledge of the California Probate Code
- Experience preparing trust accountings
- Meets the paralegal requirements of California Business & Professions Code §6450
