About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support 2–3 attorneys on trust and will contests, breach of fiduciary duty claims, contested accountings, and related probate court matters
- Manage calendars, court deadlines, e-filing, and case files
- Draft petitions, objections, discovery, subpoenas, and declarations for attorney review
- Prepare for mediations, hearings, and trial, including exhibits, trial binders, and witness materials
- Lead, train, and review the work of another Paralegal
- Report to a Partner with a substantial book of business
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of paralegal experience in T&E or probate litigation
- Strong knowledge of California probate court procedures
- Experience leading or training other paralegals or support staff
- Meets the paralegal requirements of California Business & Professions Code §6450
- Ability to support 2–3 attorneys
- Ability to meet a billable expectation of 1,500 hours
