About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell contract maintenance programs for material handling equipment and catalog parts
  • Pursue new business and develop key existing accounts in an assigned territory
  • Analyze opportunities, identify key personnel, and develop business relationships through cold calls, presentations, and lead follow-up
  • Develop sales strategies, proposals, and forecasts
  • Conduct product demonstrations and sales presentations
  • Prepare quotations, cost reports, performance reports, and customer correspondence
  • Develop a territory management plan to maximize customer time, seek new business, and enhance customer retention
  • Monitor customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate records of sales calls, customer files, and sales activity using online resources
  • Discuss sales activities with management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Less than 2 years of related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Good communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills
  • Ability and willingness to work outside normal business hours to prepare for sales activities
  • Several years of successful sales experience preferred
  • Business-to-business (B2B) experience preferred
  • Problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong sense of urgency, responsibility, and self-motivation
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, entrepreneurship, professional selling, or related business program is a plus
