About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems across the facility
  • Adhere to safety protocols when performing work on Crown property
  • Apply high-quality craftsmanship to electrical and mechanical system installation
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery using testing equipment, technical manuals, and remote support
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings for equipment and plant repairs
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, welders, HMIs, VFDs, and related systems
  • Organize projects, provide direction to team members, and assist in training new personnel
  • Install and maintain jib and bridge-type crane structures
  • Identify, source, or fabricate parts for equipment repairs
  • Document maintenance activities using the work order system
  • Execute preventive maintenance, work orders, and track parts inventory and labor time using the CMMS
  • Prepare and deliver shift reports across departments and shifts
  • Operate trucks, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other construction and lifting equipment
  • Work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, with possible overtime
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma is required
  • 2 year Technical degree preferred
  • 5 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of technical methods for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance in a factory setting
  • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and commitment to high quality craftsmanship
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery using testing equipment, technical manuals, and remote support
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, welders, HMIs, VFDs, and related systems using a computer
  • Ability to operate construction and lifting equipment including trucks, forklifts, scissor and boom lifts
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe PDF
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing/traversing for 8 hours per shift, lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs, and working at heights up to 30 feet
  • Ability to read work orders and prints and perform basic math
  • Knowledge of building structures
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • May require a valid driver's license
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; temporary visas and sponsorship are not eligible
