About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Crown and other makes of lift trucks
  • Perform assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks
  • Maintain a service van and its inventory
  • Process paperwork after completing each job
  • Provide field service support to customers using lift truck and related technical expertise

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Less than 2 years related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks
  • Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, hydraulics, and internal combustion engines
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills
  • Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred
  • Familiar with common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder, and various types of testing equipment
  • Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow-through
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States; temporary visas and candidates requiring current or future sponsorship are not eligible
