About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create and maintain 2D kanban barcode labels
Maintain kanban containers and order new containers when required
Troubleshoot kanban issues with Bills of Material (BOM)
Provide data to support material flow improvements and optimize kanban levels
Manage spreadsheets of manufactured parts in the kanban system
Determine material replenishment strategies and kanban sizes for new manufactured parts
Support manufacturing personnel and assembly operators by determining material storage space requirements
Support implementation of kanban systems with Purchasing, Production and Inventory Control, and suppliers
Investigate and resolve material shortage issues
Work with line stock handlers and assemblers to improve processes and flow
Communicate issues and resolutions between assembly lines, planners, and materials teams
Provide general lean manufacturing support
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

3-5 years related experience in the Warehouse and Logistics areas
Strong understanding of all Manufacturing Flow & processes
Strong SAP Crown 360 computer skills
Strong Excel skills
Lean Manufacturing principles
Strong sense of urgency and organization
Good communication and interpersonal skills amongst shop floor and support staff
Must be able to execute projects and lead small teams within process scope
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
