About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Attend requirement walkthrough sessions and communicate requirements to the entire team
Prepare and review test planning documents
Write and review test cases, set up test data and environments, and organize testing activities
Set up test environments to meet entry criteria and capture performance validations
Execute test cases and report defects
Perform defect retesting and regression testing
Review testing artifacts and conduct test closure activities to meet exit criteria
Conduct quality audits to ensure process compliance
Assist offshore teams with technical issue resolution and provide clarifications
Ensure testing results are accessible and understandable
Collaborate with onshore and offshore team members regarding deliverables and team building
Handle responsibilities independently and lead initiatives when required
Keep application information documents and related materials up to date
Maintain knowledge repositories
Attend daily Scrum calls and discuss work and impediments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technical education
5+ years of strong QA testing experience
Extensive experience with COBOL, DB2, JCL, SQL, and CICS screens
Elevance Healthcare domain experience
System experience in Enrollment & Billing (WGS/ISG), WGS Claims, and Finance systems
Customer-centric portals knowledge
Extensive experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe Agile
Understanding of WGS applications and end-to-end testing
Hands-on experience in batch and online testing
Expert analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to oversee defects and result validation
Strong planning, organizational, interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
Ability to collaborate with global teams and lead high-performing scrum teams
Ability to work extended hours, sometimes during weekends
Testing-related certification is good to have
Automation knowledge is an added advantage
