About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide financial oversight, leadership, and support to the market/corporate
  • Provide timely, accurate, comprehensive, and transparent financial reporting
  • Input and review market finance IBNR models and understand market cost drivers and trends
  • Understand reimbursement methodologies impacting market products
  • Support the monthly close process with journal entries, accruals, and analysis
  • Coordinate with market/workstream leaders to identify, implement, and measure QAI initiatives
  • Support APM, VBR, ACO, and other delegated arrangement strategies
  • Coordinate with actuarial teams on rate advocacy
  • Liaise on revenue maximization efforts between risk adjustment, contracting/health partners teams, and providers
  • Participate in pricing strategy for marketplace and other products
  • Review cost reports and regulatory filing requirements; interact with regulatory agencies as needed
  • Support annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting
  • Coordinate, review, and provide feedback on the annual administrative budget
  • Provide insight into risk sensitivity associated with current and future business drivers
  • Support independent financial accounting and regulatory financial audits
  • Perform ad hoc and trend analyses, including modeling for contracting and enhancement initiatives
  • Manage departmental staff and expense budget
  • Make staffing decisions
  • Develop, implement, and modify processes for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Assess internal controls and make changes to ensure compliance with MAR, regulatory, and organizational requirements
  • Perform other duties as requested

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in accounting/finance, including a minimum of three (3) years of management experience, is required
  • Managed care or healthcare experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with financial analysis concepts, practices and procedures
  • Familiarity with accounting concepts, practices and procedures
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management and external audit management
  • Ability to multitask and support several market leaders/business areas simultaneously
  • Ability to lead and direct the work of others, including staff development, motivation and rewarding
  • Knowledge of internal control framework
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, critical listening, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Must live in Georgia
  • No licensure or certification required
