About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Handle member, pharmacy, and provider calls related to pharmacy clinical campaigns
Collaborate across different areas within CareSource to deliver best-in-class service to members
Perform technical and clerical duties that do not require a pharmacist’s professional clinical judgment
Confirm member identity and update demographic and provider information
Fax providers
Receive and respond to incoming calls
Follow protocols, use critical thinking, and escalate issues to appropriate parties when needed
Provide accurate information and a high level of customer service
Enter information accurately and promptly into appropriate systems for outcome measurement
Collaborate with other departments in providing member care
Meet or exceed productivity and performance expectations
Establish and maintain professional working relationships with stakeholders
Perform other duties as requested

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent years relevant work experience is required
Minimum of One (1) year clinical call center experience is required
Ohio Technician Registration required
Ability to acquire state registration in multiple states, as required
Three (3) years retail pharmacy or hospital pharmacy experience is preferred
Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is preferred
Computer proficient with basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of the healthcare field
Understanding of the pharmacist’s clinical role in member care
Familiarity with medical terminology and medication names
Proper grammar in print and e-mail communications
Excellent attendance and punctuality
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Attention to detail
Critical listening and thinking skills
Time management skills
Decision making/problem solving
Ability to work 9 am to 5:30 pm and weekends and overtime as needed
