About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work full time in clinic treating patients
- Act as primary supervising physician for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in accordance with state rules, regulations, and Medical Advisory Board requirements
- Conduct remote peer-protected review of electronic medical records for urgent care, workers’ compensation, and specialty physical exams
- Review medical records for each supervisee according to state-specific requirements or company policy
- Meet with supervisees in person, by telephone, or by video conference as required
- Investigate and summarize patient complaints through the company consumer complaint system
- Determine whether care was appropriate and advise the healthcare team on the appropriate course of action
- Report potential provider deficiencies to the State Medical Director
- Adhere to CareSpot policies, procedures, and culture
- Develop collegial relationships with direct reports and supervisors
- Attend and participate in provider meetings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current unrestricted state issued license to practice medicine
- Sound clinical judgment
- Excellent procedural skill set and ability to impart those skills to adult learners
- Excellent bedside manner and customer service skills
- Respect for patients, Advanced Practice Providers, and clinical support staff
- Familiarity with EMR systems
- Ability to receive and deliver valuable feedback
- Ability to work collaboratively internally and externally
- Self-assured, self-directed, and results oriented
- Organized and accustomed to meeting routine deadlines
