About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work full time in clinic treating patients
  • Act as primary supervising physician for APPs, including Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, in accordance with state rules and regulations under the Medical Advisory Board
  • Conduct remote PEER-protected review of electronic medical records for urgent care, workers’ compensation, and specialty physical exams
  • Review medical records for each supervisee according to state-specific requirements or internal company policy
  • Meet with supervisees in person, by telephone, or by video conference as required by the Medical Advisory Board
  • Investigate and summarize patient complaints through the company consumer complaint system
  • Determine whether care was appropriate and advise healthcare team members on the appropriate next course of action
  • Report potential provider deficiencies to the State Medical Director
  • Adhere to CareSpot policies, procedures, and culture
  • Develop collegial relationships with direct reports and supervisor
  • Attend and participate in provider meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A current unrestricted state issued license to practice medicine
  • Sound clinical judgment
  • Excellent procedural skill set
  • Ability to impart procedural skills to a variety of adult learners
  • Excellent bedside manner
  • Customer service skills
  • Respect for patients, Advanced Practice Providers, and clinical support staff
  • Familiarity with EMR systems
  • Ability to receive and deliver valuable feedback
