About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set direction and lead Epic Informatics & Training teams designing and supporting Epic EHR training and workflow optimization
Develop the EHR training strategy and maintain Epic key performance indicators for the Carle enterprise
Lead classroom, virtual, and hybrid Epic Informatics & Training initiatives
Communicate with stakeholders and leaders about EHR changes, updates, and problems
Solicit ongoing feedback about system experience and use
Serve as escalation point for customer satisfaction, resource, and budgetary risks and issues
Support EHR optimization through performance reports and improvement activities
Lead Epic performance programs including Honor Roll, Gold Stars, and Staying Current
Collaborate with Epic leaders to achieve high performance in Epic performance programs
Lead Carle Health's Epic training and optimization program and promote workflow standardization
Manage Epic Informatics & Training team members and performance
Evaluate EHR customer satisfaction and efficiency using tools and reports including KLAS, Signal, and NEAT
Create recommendations based on evaluation results
Represent Epic Informatics and Training programs on Carle committees
Support oversight of Epic implementations and related projects
Collaborate with Application teams
Manage the Epic Informatics & Training budget, forecasting, and planning
Align operational and clinical workflows with the training curriculum
Coordinate annual Epic Performance Programs
Identify training and workflow enhancements aligned with Foundation
Align informatics, training, and mastery programs with end-user needs
Coordinate cross-team meetings, downtimes, change control on call, and project go-lives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in a related field
10 years of healthcare information technology experience
3 years of team management experience
3 years of Epic project management and/or implementation experience
Knowledge of EHR training best practices
Demonstrated relevant experience leading teams and projects
Demonstrated high customer service and service recovery skills
Demonstrated exceptional communication and servant leadership
Demonstrated success working in a matrixed work environment
