About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate maintenance and compliance of student health records and health records databases
- Produce reports related to health records keeping and compliance
- Maintain Viewpoint and Castle Branch database systems and the master spreadsheet of student health records
- Create semester compliance reports and disseminate them to college stakeholders
- Partner with Carle Health student clinical compliance personnel to ensure clinical student compliance
- Advocate for student health record interests with administration and faculty leadership
- Recommend initiatives to enhance student compliance
- Assist Academic Affairs with clinical student compliance records and delinquency issues
- Work one-on-one with students to ensure individual compliance
- Collaborate with Operations, Enrollment Management, and Academic Affairs
- Identify and escalate compliance questions or concerns and take appropriate action
- Demonstrate Methodist College values and follow policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Protect student privacy in accordance with FERPA and healthcare regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's Degree
- Maintain current licenses and/or certifications required for the position
- Knowledge of FERPA and protection of student education records
- Knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, DNV, OSHA, and other federal/state healthcare regulatory requirements
- Complete annual education and competency requirements within the calendar year
- Regular, reliable attendance
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM four days each week, Monday through Friday
- Infrequent weekend availability as needed for New Student Orientations
