About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Screen, schedule, and direct patients to appropriate locations and services within the Imaging Department
- Receive incoming phone calls and facilitate scheduling of imaging procedures
- Provide division-specific patient education materials to prepare patients for scheduled tests and procedures
- Conduct financial discussions with patients and/or provider offices regarding imaging procedure fees according to ABN and pre-authorization guidelines
- Maintain the department patient schedule, ensure blocks are full, and reschedule cancelled appointments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in office work
- Associate's Degree, or work experience in lieu of education
- Ability to screen, schedule, and direct patients to appropriate imaging locations and services
- Ability to receive incoming phone calls and facilitate scheduling of imaging procedures
- Knowledge of ABN and pre-authorization guidelines
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30a–5:00p
- No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
