About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee configuration, optimization, and data analytics of laboratory middleware and diagnostic automation
- Serve as liaison between vendors, IT, LIS, application analysts, management, and end users
- Lead end-to-end diagnostic equipment installations, modifications, additions, and upgrades
- Manage informatics platforms connecting analyzers with LIS and EHR networks
- Configure automation software for specimen routing, auto-verification, and data mining
- Serve as subject matter expert for system implementations, testing, and validations
- Troubleshoot and assist with remediation of system software and hardware problems
- Coordinate problem resolution with internal and external technical support personnel
- Manage process and procedural changes based on application functionality
- Assist with LIS/EHR builds, testing, and troubleshooting
- Ensure accurate specimen routing, streamlined workflows, and integration across Chemistry, Hematology, and Coagulation platforms
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science
- Core lab work experience
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) (AMT) certification within 1 year, or MLS (ASCP) within 1 year
- Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) (AMT) certification within 1 year, or MLT (ASCP) within 1 year
- Medical Technologist (MT) (AMT) certification within 1 year, or MT (ASCP) within 1 year
- Knowledge of Abbott Alinity Instrumentation and Abbott Lab Automation is nice to have
- Knowledge of Data Innovations Middleware
- Experience with LIS systems including EPIC/Beaker and SoftLab
- Ability to work Monday-Friday day shift
