About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain department patient care supplies
- Ensure timely flow of patients
- Assist physicians and nurses in providing optimal care to patients and families
- Perform routine direct patient care duties during patient examination and treatment
- Maintain patient privacy and safety in the care environment
- Measure and record height, weight, temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
- Complete medication reconciliation
- Assist providers with procedures and treatment
- Perform audiometry, spirometry, respiratory mask fits, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Perform ear washes and dressing changes
- Perform drug and alcohol testing
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation of care
- Provide support to nursing staff
- Order, receive, store, clean, and stock supplies and exam/procedure rooms
- Maintain supply par levels and expiration logs for supplies and medications
Requirements
What you’ll need- H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- DOT Certified Specimen Collector within 6 months from the Department of Transportation (DOT)
- Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) within 6 months from the Department of Transportation (DOT)
- Perform drug and alcohol testing according to state and federal guidelines
- Full-time, day schedule Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
