About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain department patient care supplies
- Ensure timely flow of patients
- Assist physicians and nurses in providing optimal care to patients and families
- Perform routine direct patient care duties during examination and treatment
- Maintain the patient care environment and supplies to ensure privacy and safety
- Room patients, take vital signs, and review medications/allergies
- Assist providers with minor procedures
- Stock and close down rooms
- Remove splints/casts, apply dressings, and remove staples/sutures
- Prepare unsterile instruments for dispatch to SPD
- Perform DME fittings
- Collect and process specimens accurately

Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma/GED required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Ability to perform routine direct patient care duties
- Ability to maintain patient care environments and supplies
- Ability to room patients, take vital signs, and review medications/allergies
- Ability to assist providers with minor procedures
- Ability to remove splints/casts, apply dressings, and remove staples/sutures
- Ability to prepare unsterile instruments for shipment to SPD
- Ability to perform DME fittings
- Ability to collect and accurately process specimens
- Ability to perform MRI screening
