About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Welcome and assist patients, families, and visitors
  • Address questions and provide non-medical information
  • Communicate patient and family concerns to appropriate team members and assist with resolution
  • Answer, screen, and route telephone calls
  • Make, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments
  • Support digital patient communications through MyUnityPoint and text
  • Gather, verify, and enter demographic and insurance information into electronic health records and patient accounting systems
  • Assist with charge capture and billing accuracy
  • Collect payments, issue receipts, and reconcile daily receivables
  • Open and close the clinic according to guidelines
  • Collaborate with support services to maintain a clean, welcoming environment
  • Attend clinic meetings, read emails, and check the organization intranet
  • Perform other duties requested by the Clinic Administrator to support office operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree in a related field or related work experience in lieu of education
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance at work
  • Maintain compliance with CLIA, OSHA, Safety and Risk Management guidelines
  • Maintain compliance with Personnel policies and procedures
  • Behave consistently with Corporate Compliance and HIPAA policies and procedures
  • Comply with applicable work authorization verification requirements through E-Verify and Form I-9
