About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate daily clinic preparation, including patient identification and check-in/check-out
  • Post charges and manage cash
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage multiple provider schedules
  • Register patients and set up accounts
  • Handle phone calls and accurately relay messages and medical information
  • Manage patient care requests, referrals, in-basket activities, work queues, and incoming calls
  • Manage hearing aid drop-offs and pickups for repair
  • Order and maintain office supplies
  • Conduct oneself in a responsible and professional manner

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree or experience in lieu of education
  • General office equipment experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proficient understanding of insurance coverage rules, eligibility, network coverage, and benefits
  • Successful completion of mandatory insurance training and ongoing competency refreshers
  • Competent to initiate and secure prior authorizations as needed
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules and make dual appointments
  • Competence with telephone systems
  • Full-time availability Monday-Friday, roughly 8-5
  • No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
