About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and participate in daily clinic preparation
  • Identify patients and perform patient check-in/check-out
  • Post charges and manage cash
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Register patients and set up accounts
  • Handle phone calls and messages for physicians, nurses, and others
  • Manage incoming patient care requests, referrals, in-basket activities, work queue activity, and telephone calls
  • Initiate and secure prior authorizations as needed
  • Provide information and maintain a positive image to meet patients' needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree
  • Basic computer skills
  • General office equipment proficiency
  • Proficient with insurance coverage rules, including eligibility, network coverage, and benefits
  • Successful completion of mandatory insurance training and ongoing competency refreshers
  • Competent to initiate and secure prior authorizations as needed
  • Accurate, complete, and timely reporting of medical information
  • Full-time availability Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
