About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist radiologic technologists with basic direct and indirect patient care
- Perform patient care according to medical center policies and procedures
- Demonstrate patient comfort and safety practices
- Perform moving, lifting, transferring, and ambulating of patients
- Perform department maintenance duties and errands
- Clean equipment and stock room supplies
- Support medical imaging department functions
- Transport paperwork internally between work areas
- Prioritize messages and work efficiently
- Assist others with assignment completion
- Relay information accurately to the correct individual
- Report unsafe equipment or risky situations
- Process images and paperwork promptly for timely turnaround
- Assist physicians and hospital personnel in locating images in PACS

Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be in the second year of a radiology program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Student position
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of patient care, comfort, and safety procedures
- Knowledge of moving, lifting, transferring, and ambulating patients using standard safety practices or proper body mechanics
- Knowledge of paperwork processes
- Ability to provide care appropriate to patients of all ages
- Ability to access and print reports from the RIS system
- Ability to assist physicians and hospital personnel in locating images for review in PACS
