About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Implement, modify, test, and administer revenue cycle system applications
Serve as liaison between vendors, IT personnel, application analysts, management, and end users
Assess end-user needs and recommend and document system or procedural changes
Develop standard, customized, and ad hoc application reports
Perform analytical tasks, documentation, testing, and final analysis for system efficiency
Perform team and integrated testing for billing systems and interfaces
Develop, test, and maintain Epic revenue cycle modules, Claims Manager, systems, interfaces, and billing processes
Identify system requirements and compare system designs with user requirements
Maintain system parameter and reference tables, enhancement logs, and related records
Serve as first point of contact for revenue cycle information-system performance issues
Research, document, and facilitate resolution of end-user issues
Review, research, test, and facilitate system updates and user maintenance across multiple systems
Assist with development and testing of third-party billing charge-file and master-file systems
Research and use third-party software to create programming logic for operational processes
Draft reference materials and assist with training documentation
Provide 24 x 7 support, including early morning and evening on-call coverage
Adhere to and enforce Carle Foundation administrative and departmental policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate's Degree in a related field, Computer Science, Finance, or Accounting
Epic certification within 2 months
Work experience in revenue cycle
Comprehensive knowledge of revenue cycle billing system modules
Thorough understanding of project planning
General knowledge of CPT, ICD codes, HCPCS, and HIPAA Transaction Code Sets
Ability to support 24 x 7 environments and participate in on-call responsibilities
Ability to perform system development, testing, maintenance, and user support
Ability to research and resolve end-user issues
Ability to create ad hoc reports and application report templates
